| In 2004, our family transformed a cozy New England home into Saltbox Primitives, an expression of our love for primitives and country home goods. We fill all of our nooks and crannies with the best that country and primitive artisans have to offer, and often find many of them right here in Maine! Much of our gorgeous reproduction furniture is crafted in house by our talented family craftsmen, and is available in our shoppe and by special order. Like families of bygone days, we believe that nothing should go to waste, so many of our furnishings feature repurposed wood from classic New England homes and weathered barns.

| We created this site to share our primitives with all of our friends "from away". Within our online shoppe, you will find all you need to express your country soul and create a welcoming home for your cherished ones. | Our primary store is located in Maine's capitol city of Augusta on Rt. 17. You will find us on the right approximately 1 mile from Stone Street. Just look for our lovely chocolate New England Cape and custom shutters! Olde New England Furnishings, the newest addition to the Saltbox Primitives family, houses more of our home furnishings and our wood shop. It is located at 700 River Road, in Chelsea, Maine, overlooking the beautiful Kennebec River. We look forward to seeing you!
